Original Japanese Reiki

Healing for mind body & spirit

Reiki has a wonderful ability to calm, centre and heal, and is a technique which anyone can learn. It is not necessary to have had previous experience with healing, spiritual development, or meditation.

We teach the spiritual practice of Reiki from the Japanese perspective. This is not standard 'Western-style' Reiki, but a form of Reiki that is a lot closer to the system taught by Reiki's founder, Mikao Usui, in the 1920s in Japan. It is a simple system that is intuitive, and focused on self-development. The original purpose of Usui's method was about finding your own spiritual path to enlightenment and self-healing.

Mikao Usui taught his students in an open-ended fashion, in much the same way that you might learn a martial art today. Through commitment and regular practice you would slowly develop and progress on to the next level of training. This was not something that was hurried. Reiki is a lifelong spiritual journey of self-discovery.

Our courses are designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to get started. You will learn to work with the energy in a clear, relaxed way, and ongoing support is provided after your training to answer any questions you may have. To echo the way Reiki was originally taught by Usui, and to help further your development, you can also receive weekly spiritual empowerments on an ongoing basis, by tuning yourself into our distant Reiju.
